Fitness Classes
The Foss Wellness Center offers Fitness Classes to the Students, Staff, and Faculty of University of Jamestown. These classes are lead by students or faculty at University of Jamestown and provide Physical activity options for over the school year. The Classes are held in the General Exercise Room. GER is a multipurpose fitness room fitted with wall mirrors, and housed with equipment, mats, A TV and Sound system, for Zumba, P90X and other Exercise classes. When Classes are not held, this room is open to all staff and students for their personal use.
H.I.I.T. (High Impact Interval Training)
Want to see results fast? Change your body composition through a fun-filled, high impact class! A combination of heart-rate pumping moves and muscle strengthening will give you a total body workout. You will receive a phenomenal cardiovascular workout in this 45 minute class!
CoreShred
Get that six-pack you’ve been longing for! This class is a total core workout that uses different equipment and body weight exercises. It focuses on moves that require body stability and it seriously makes your core muscles work. As its only 30 minutes long, it is great for those who want a tough, sweaty workout in a time crunch! The exercises strengthen, tone, and stretch the core muscles of the abdomen and back. Pair this class with your regular cardiovascular routine and receive an even better all-around workout.
Pilates
This mat-based workout is designed to help participants develop leaner, longer-looking muscles, establish core strength and stability, and heighten mind/body awareness. All Levels

This takes the Zumba® formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the active older participant, and those just starting their fitness journey. Beginner/Intermediate
